  • Victorian Garnet

    X

Victorian Garnets, set in Tombak, vermeil or brass.

Bohemian garnets were prolific during the Victorian Era. Garnets used in antique jewelry can be faceted or cabochon cut. Faceted Victorian garnets are usually rose cut, meaning they are faceted bluntly compared to the sharp facets of today's gemstones. Garnets were thought to be a malady for blood disorders or anger.

  • Antique Lockets

    X

A pendant (from Old French) is a hanging object, generally attached to a necklace or an earring.

I offer a great selection of pendants with seed pearls and gemstones from England, France and the US. Kings and Queens used to embrace their personality with multi-stone Pendants studded in gold, silver and bronze.

  • Art Deco and Pendants

    X

Art Deco is an eclectic artistic and design style which had its origins in Paris in the first decades of the 20th century. The style originated in the 1920s and continued to be employed until after World War II.

I offer filigree pendants in white gold with lacework patterns and diamonds; I also offer quartz crystal pendants with sunburst effects, intricate filigree and diamonds. Art Deco took the naturalistic designs of the past and replaced them with precise geometry and symmetrical shapes.

  • Antique French Necklaces and Pendants

    X

When Napoleon Bonaparte was crowned as Emperor of the French in 1804, he revived the style and grandeur of jewelry and fashion in France.

Under Napoleon's rule, jewelers introduced parures, suites of matching jewelry, such as a diamond tiara, diamond earrings, diamond rings, a diamond brooch and a diamond necklace. Although I don't sell the luxuries that were familiar to Napoleon, the ornate detailing and sensual shapes are particular to French antique pieces.

  • Art deco quartz crystal and filigree pendants

    X

A locket is a pendant that opens to reveal a space used for storing a photograph or other small items such as a curl of hair.

I offer a wonderful selection of both silver and gold lockets in all sizes, as well as Silver Bookchain necklaces from England. Book chain style necklaces refer to a design involving a chain with links that are shaped like books. This design emerged during the Victorian era and was popular through the Edwardian period.
